COMBATE À CRIMINALIDADE: UM ESTUDO SOBRE PROBLEMAS RELATIVOS À SEGURANÇA PÚBLICA

Resumo

O artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre as questões envolvendo segurança pública, no que se refere ao seu contexto de combate à criminalidade local, através de percepções que partem da observação dos moradores do Bairro Tancredo Neves – Santa Maria/ RS. Apresenta-se como problema da pesquisa a questão: quais as contribuições que a oitiva dos moradores do bairro Tancredo Neves poderá trazer para o efetivo combate à criminalidade local, exercendo assim o direito constitucional da cidadania? Para este estudo realizar-se-á uma pesquisa de campo do tipo quanti-qualitativa com entrevistas semiestruturadas, no qual, estas serão apresentadas dez perguntas direcionadas aos moradores da Cohab Tancredo Neves, residentes na comunidade há mais de 15 anos, a fim de elencar problemas selecionados pela comunidade como pertinentes para discutir a questão. Apresenta-se como conclusões que os moradores acreditam que a participação da comunidade é importante para identificar as principais sensibilidades vivenciadas; que as drogas geram a maioria dos problemas de segurança; que a questão das drogas deve ser discutida entre comunidade, legislativo, órgãos de segurança e judiciário para que o medo e a insegurança não continuem a ameaçar a vida na comunidade.

FIGHTING CRIME: A STUDY ON ISSUES RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY

Abstract: The article proposes a reflection on issues involving public safety, with regard to its combat context to the local crime through perceptions that come from observation of the residents of Tancredo Neves Neighborhood - Santa Maria / RS. It is presented as research problem the question: what are the contributions that the hearsay of the residents of Tancredo Neves neighborhood can bring to the effective tackling local crime, exercising the constitutional right of citizenship? For this study will be carried out a quantitative-qualitative type of field research with semi-structured interviews, in which they are displayed ten questions directed to residents of Cohab Tancredo Neves, residents in the community for over 15 years in order to to list problems selected by the community as relevant to discuss the issue. It is presented as conclusions that residents believe that community participation is important to identify key experienced sensitivities; drugs that generate the most safety problems; that the drug issue should be discussed between community, legislative, security and judicial organs to the fear and insecurity do not continue to threaten the life of the community.
