ABSTRACT

Peter Strawson in the twenty century is the responsible for hiring the transcendental arguments against skepticism. Such arguments have a kantian inspiration. Kant would have used them against the skepticism of Cartesian and humean strand in the Deduction of the Categories and the Refutation of Idealism in the Critique of Pure Reason. The differential of Strawson’s arguments in relation to Kant, é that they are stripped of transcendental idealism. Strawson’s arguments seek to prove against the skeptic that the beliefs that he puts in questions are necessary to have experience. If the skeptic denies that he makes it impossible to own experience and thought. However, we seek to show here that the writings of Strawson there two types of transcendental arguments, namely deductive and elenctic. The first was inspired by Kant e would be employed in the work The Bounds of Sense, the second in Aristotle and would have been used in the work Individuals.
