A ESPONSALIDADE DE CRISTO COM A IGREJA NO PERÍODO PATRÍSTICO

Resumo

O presente artigo apresenta a esponsalidade de Cristo com a Igreja no período da patrística. Nesse período encontram-se elementos teológicos acerca da Igreja vista como Virgem, Mãe e Esposa de Cristo. É também esboçada uma relação de complementariedade entre a idéia do Corpo de Cristo e da Igreja como sua Esposa. Santo Inácio de Antioquia, Clemente Romano, Irineu de Lião, Hegesipo, Tertuliano, Novaciano, Cipriano, Clemente de Alexandria, Orígenes, Metódio de Olimpo, Dídimo de Alexandria, Ambrósio, Agostinho e Leão Magno são os autores citados no escrito em razão da importância que dão em seus escritos ao tema abordado.

Abstract: This paper presents the nuptial of Christ with the Church in the patristic period. This period are about theological elements of the Church seen as Virgin, Mother and Spouse of Christ. It also outlined a relationship of complementarity between the idea of the Body of Christ and the Church as his Bride.
