SEXUALIDADE: A MASTURBAÇÃO NO MUNDO JOVEM

Resumo

É fato que adolescentes têm sido bombardeados com estímulos sexuais pela mídia, e os pais muitas vezes falham em dar orientações morais. Por isso, não é surpresa alguma que os adolescentes não estejam bem informados sobre a moralidade da masturbação. Muitos já se envolvem e se tornam viciados na prática antes mesmo de se conscientizarem plenamente que ela é moralmente errada, segundo a moral cristã  católica. Ao mesmo tempo eles se sentem incapazes de controlar um hábito já existente, e em sua vergonha e culpa, escondem-se e fogem ao invés de discutir o assunto com conselheiros. Incertos sobre si mesmos, confusos acerca dos valores propostos pela cultura, e algumas vezes pela própria família, esses jovens facilmente se refugiam no mundo da fantasia do prazer sexual.  Muitas vezes temerosos de relacionamentos reais com pessoas do outro sexo, eles mergulham no mundo da fantasia da masturbação. Eles precisam de orientação, mas não a receberão enquanto não forem informados sobre a moralidade da masturbação, e sobre os fatores psicológicos que muitas vezes os impedem de exercer o livre-arbítrio. A partir de uma visão antropológica, fisiológica, psicológica e moral este artigo pretende apresentar algumas orientações de ordem pastoral, de modo a ajudar  os adolescentes e jovens de hoje a lidar com a masturbação.

Sexuality: Masturbation In  Teenage World

Abstract: It is a fact that teenagers have been bombarded with sexual stimuli by the media, and parents often fail to give moral guidance. So it's no surprise that teenagers are not well informed about the morality of masturbation. Many have become involved and become addicted to the practice even before being fully conscientized that it is morally wrong, according to the moral teaching of the Catholic Church. At the same time they feel unable to control an existing habit, and, because of their shame and guilt they hide and run away from discussing it with advisers. Unsure of themselves, confused about the values proposed by the culture, and sometimes by their own family, these young people easily take refuge in the fantasy world of sexual pleasure. Often fearful of real relationships with persons of the other sex, they delve into the world of fantasy of masturbation. They need guidance, but will not receive it until they are informed about the morality of masturbation, and psychological factors that often prevent them from exercising free will. Starting from the anthropological, physiological, psychological and moral views, this article aims at providing some guidance of a pastoral nature, to help teens and young people today to deal with masturbation.
