ABSTRACT

If the best compliment to the natural love, in the philosophical tradition, was described in Plato's Symposium, the best compliment to Christian love is described in Works of Love Kierkegaard. In defending the thesis that one must believe in love, Kierkegaard bases its ethical concept in a concrete otherness. This characterization of ethics, to replace the assumption of autonomy through the concrete existence of others, while you first, gives rise to a paradoxical formulation of ethics. You can base the ethics, as opposed to aesthetic, a concept of love based on duty to love?
