A ANULAÇÃO DO EU POLÍTICO E SUBJETIVO COMO CAUSA DA INSTAURAÇÃO DO TOTALITARISMO EM HANNAH ARENDT

Resumo

Tendo como pano de fundo a reflexão apresentada por Hannah Arendt em sua obra As Origens do Totalitarismo, o objetivo deste artigo é mostrar como a anulação do eu político e subjetivo dá origem ao totalitarismo como sistema político de manipulação. Em decorrência disso, os homens perdem a sua identidade e o seu poder de deliberação, gerando a uniformização e a descaracterização. Para a pensadora, a inoperância do espaço público gera a supressão da subjetividade dos homens e, consequentemente, tornam-se suscetíveis de tramas descomprometidas com o bem comum. Quando a individualidade e a coletividade são eliminadas, com vistas ao interesse particular, entra em vigor uma proeminente arma de manipulação em massa: o totalitarismo. Os indivíduos não são mais os protagonistas de suas vidas, mas sim presas fáceis à impressão de objetivos de outrem. Após uma sondagem pelas bases históricas do totalitarismo, pontualmente alicerçadas na Revolução Francesa, nos posicionaremos com Arendt em torno desta questão fulcral da política de nossos tempos.

THE ANNULMENT OF THE SELF AS SUBJECTIVE AND POLITICAL QUESTION OF THE IMPOSITION OF TOTALITARIANISM IN HANNAH ARENDT

Abstract: Having the background reflection by Hannah Arendt in The Origins of Totalitarianism, the aim of this paper is to show how the annulment of the self subjective and political leads to totalitarianism as a political manipulation. As a result, men lose their identity and power of determination, creating an uniform and a distortion. To the thinker, the ineffectiveness of public space leads to suppression of the subjectivity of men and thus become susceptible to plots uncommitted to the common good. When individuality and collectivity are eliminated, aimed at particular interest, shall enter into force one prominent gun handling mass: totalitarianism. Individuals are not the protagonists of their lives, but easy prey to the impression goals of others. After a survey by the historical foundations of totalitarianism, occasionally grounded in the French Revolution, we position ourselves with Arendt around this central issue of politics of our times.
